That tweet from Sen. Daniel Inouye‘s Twitter account a few minutes ago was an excerpt from his floor speech this afternoon, which included some gripes with Senate Republicans’ filibuster delay tactics. It’s not quite the “nuclear option,” but it hints at his desire to change the way the Senate works.

The frustrations from the most senior member of the Senate comes as the body considers a continuing resolution to fund the federal government for another six months and avoid a shutdown. Inouye’s not happy with that approach, either:

The Senate is expected to approve the “CR,” and then members will go back to their districts through the election.
