A five-student team from Maui High School took first place in last Saturday’s Hawaii regional National Ocean Sciences Bowl — a.k.a. the “Aloha Bowl.”
The students in April will head to Milwaukee, Wis. to represent Hawaii in the 16th annual National Ocean Sciences Bowl, according to a University of Hawaii press release.
The competition tests students on their knowledge of the marine sciences, including biology, chemistry, physics, geology, marine policy and social sciences.
