The Stanley Chang for Congress campaign raised $126,238 during the fourth and final quarter of 2013.
That raised the campaign’s total 2013 haul to $434,326. The Honolulu city councilman had $325,457 in cash-on-hand as of Dec. 31.
State Sen. Donna Mercardo Kim, meanwhile, has raised an impressive $300,000, given that she’s only been in the 1st District contest for two months. Chang has been running since last April, when Colleen Hanabusa announced she was running for the U.S. Senate.
Donation totals for the other Democrats in the race — state Rep. Mark Takai, state Sen. Will Espero, Councilman Ikaika Anderson and activist Kathryn Xian — are expected this week.
American and Chinese military representatives met at Pearl Harbor this week for two days of talks designed to “reduce the likelihood of incidents at sea and in the air,” the Pacific Fleet announced Wednesday.
