Hawaii Lawmaker Throws Dice on Casino Gambling

The word "casino" has not been in Senate Bill 1247 since it was introduced Jan. 26.

In fact, the bill, which had been held in committee, has to do with abolishing the Aloha Tower Development Corporation.

But if state Sen. Malama Solomon has her way, SB 1247 will allow for limited casino gaming in Hawaii with a percent of the house's take going into state coffers.
