Hawaii Government Employees Association

The Hawaii Government Employees Association is Hawaii’s largest labor union, with about 43,000 members statewide. The association represents seven of the 13 public state and county collective bargaining units.

The bargaining units, which include supervisory and non-supervisory blue-collar and white-collar positions, also include about 10,000 state and county government retirees.

The union represents its members on issues regarding wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment.

HGEA headquarters is located on Oahu. Division offices are located on Oahu, Big Island, Maui and Kauai.

Randy Perreira has served as HGEA's executive director since 2008.
