Honolulu City Prosecutor Election 2010

A special election to replace former Honolulu City Prosecutor Peter Carlisle, who stepped down to run for Honolulu mayor, was held on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010. The winner was former Honolulu City Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro, who won the right to complete the remainder of Carlisle's term, through 2012.

Kaneshiro won the election against rivals Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the City and County of Honolulu Franklin "Don" Pacarro, Jr. and former Deputy Prosecutor Darwin Ching, who had stepped down as head of the Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to run for the office.
