Kymberly Pine

Kymberly Pine won her bid for the Honolulu City Council's District 1 seat in the 2012 general election.

She beat incumbent Tom Berg by more than 25 percentage points, or nearly 7,000 votes. District 1 encompasses West Oahu and the Leeward Coast.

Before taking her seat in the City Council, Pine was a Republican state representative since 2004, serving communities including Ewa Beach, where Pine resides, as well as Iroquois Point and Puuloa. Pine was the first Republican to represent that district since statehood, and is known for her advocacy against cybercrime.
