Vehicle Weight Tax

The vehicle weight tax is an annual tax that all Hawaii car owners pay to the state and county, in addition to a state registration fee and fuel tax.

Gov. Neil Abercrombie approved hiking the vehicle tax rates to help generate more revenue for the state's fiscal 2012 budget.
